1. Your CRUISE DOCUMENTS:
<\/strong>So many people do not read the terms and conditions of travel! Make sure that you print out your documents on SINGLE SIDED PAPER! Never print them on both sides \u2013 you will end up forking out hundreds of Rands to reprint on the day!
<\/span>You MUST have all your documents with you in your hand luggage and NOT in your checked-in luggage! If you do, then I guess your bags will go on a nice cruise without you and you will not be entitled to a refund!
<\/span>Passports: Every person including babies needs one. Not only that, but they need to have a minimum of 6 months validity after your return.
<\/span>Make sure that if required that you have visas for the country you are visiting
<\/span>Un-abridged birth certificates for ALL children U18.
<\/span>Children with only 1 parent need an affidavit signed at a police station by the other parent with certified copies of their passport\/s
<\/span>Health certificates when advised by your agent.

<\/span>2. Your LUGGAGE:
<\/strong>If you are traveling with us on the official MSC shuttle then we ask you NOT to attach your luggage labels, and to print them out on single sided paper. \u2013 We will do all that for you, and make sure that you are \u2018good to go\u2019!

<\/strong>A crucial step often overlooked is attending the muster drill and safety check-in. Completing this compulsory and vital task under marine laws, takes mere minutes and must be done before the sail-away party. Waiting can lead to reminders over the ship’s intercom. Don’t procrastinate; be an early bird! MSC have however improved this compulsory drill. You now only have to watch the presentation in your cabin then phone in to a certain number to confirm you saw it \u2013 done!
<\/span>4. Early Boarding:
<\/strong>Debates on check-in times aside, early arrival grants you more time to savor your first day. While some opt for later check-ins to avoid lines, waiting is often inevitable, even with a later appointment. Boarding early affords you a relaxed lunch, a leisurely exploration, and an uncrowded poop deck. Travelling with the official MSC Shuttle operated by CSA, we take care of the essentials and you get to board a lot quicker!
<\/span>5. Cabin Check:<\/strong>
The first order of business upon boarding is a quick cabin check. Drop off your carry-on luggage and ensure everything in the cabin is functioning as it should. Don’t forget to snap some photos and videos of your pristine cabin\u2014this moment won’t last. If you intend to use the mini bar in your cabin, you will want your drinks cold. I suggest using a shopping card or a partners cruise card and leave it in the electric slot by the door so that your fridge will stay cool. Do turn your lights off though!

This current cruise season for the MSC Opera, MSC has decided to reduce the times of the shuttle. We strongly suggest that for ALL cruises this season that you arrive in Durban BEFORE 09h00 and depart after mid-day as usual. Our first transfer from the airport is now at 08h00 and no longer 09h00, The harbour times remain the same from 06h30 to 09h00 and the coaches depart on a ‘Fill-up-then-Go’ basis.
